Private training is a great option if you’ve got a puppy who hasn’t received all their core vaccines or you’d like to catch a jumpstart on what to expect in class. Perhaps you have behaviors or triggers that are more prevalent at home or in a neutral space.
You can feel confident managing your dog because not only do you know what to do but you know how to do it.
You can bring family friends and service personnel in the home safely without worry.
Now you understand that your dog has been trying to communicate with you and you weren’t understanding.
Description: One on one sessions at the location of your choice where we achieve greatness by honing in on the things you’d like to accomplish with your pup.
Who it’s for: Participants who need extra guidance for dogs who are easily distracted and need more time to practice specific commands or expectations than group classes provide due to the level of distractions. Laying foundation is often easier before adding that extra layer of distraction. Additional fees for drive time and has applied outside of a 15 mile radius.
{Within a 15 mile radius)
Put the plan to work during the session to evaluate initial results and discuss any initial modifications necessary. Receive homework or “suggested implantation strategies” to help continue concreting the plan.
Address people, canine behaviors and environments together in the presence of everyone who needs to be on the same page with your trainer.
Discuss specifically the behaviors of concern or where you’d like to see your dog better while your trainer creates a management plan to accomplish these goals.
Private training allows for a dog to relax in the comfort of their territory and behave in the way you experience daily. To be able to see that true depiction of a dog in their space can be instrumental in understanding what the solution should be. There is no conveyor belt style method to be applied to every dog so the more knowledge we have of your dogs normal routine, the more we can assist with your relationship together!
While attending classes can and should be a goal, puppies are not vaccinated enough to attend and waiting too long to get started with creating healthy communication can negatively impact your futures together in addition to creating expectations from your dog or unfavorable behaviors you need to spend time undoing before laying proper foundation.
Dogs with social reactivity will have a harder time entering a class for the first time with an owner who doesn’t have the basic communication tools to manage them immediately. While we absolutely allow dogs to enter classes without a private session, we do encourage people to know as much as they can prior to managing their dogs in situations where their dogs are more difficult to manage.
